I will be writing a soundscape piece for one of the silver collection from the Naughton Gallery, the Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The commission starts in September and I have two months to finish it. One catch: it has to be a mono piece!

Yes! you heard it right. Because of the gallery’s exhibition setup and the way the collection is to be displayed, the piece won’t be able to be played in stereo.

An interesting opportunity to compose a mono piece, isn’t it?
